Hotdogs + Kimchi Sauerkraut
Happy Saturday!
I have a quick food post for you today. Since we’re firing up our grills more often now with the warmer weather, I’m bringing you a hotdog post today. Last football season, I was watching the news one day and there was a quick lifestyle segment asking people what they were cooking while they tailgated for a game. One guy made asian inspired hotdogs – hot dogs with kimchi sauerkraut. It looked and sounded delicious so I had to try making it myself!
There are no exact measurements for this recipe. It’s all made to your own tastes and preferences and also depends on how much you want to make.
First, you’ll need some kimchi which I bought at my local asian food store. I cut it into strips. Mix in a little honey and rice vinegar. Spread some dijon mustard onto your hotdog (cooked of course!), top with your kimchi sauerkraut, and sprinkle some scallions for garnish.
It was really yummy and something different for your hotdog with the infusion of asian flavors!
