Photo Challenge: Wanderlust

As the school year begins to wind down, I have about 6 weeks left, I’m starting to feel the yearly teacher burnout. Exhaustion is catching up with me and I am just trying to make it through the next few weeks. It’s around this time of year that I really wish I was on vacation somewhere. Don’t get me wrong, I catch a major case of wanderlust every time I see amazing travel photos on social media any time of the year. But this time of year is usually when I feel like I need a vacation not just want one. So last week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post, “Wanderlust” came at the perfect time.

I love photos from planes because the views are always so different and breathtaking. This photo was taken a few years ago on one of my trips to Hawaii – my favorite place on earth! We were getting ready to land in Honolulu when I took this photo and I love it because it’s not the typical ocean/coastline photo (which I also love) but is a photo of the land and a little glimpse of the life there. The clouds just below me are perfect as well and add an air of wonder and majesty to the photo.

I don’t think it’s possible to take a bad photo in Hawaii. Or above it either for that matter!
