Stuffed French Bread
I was thinking about dinner ideas and what I haven’t eaten in a while. Then I remembered a while ago I had found and made this delicious recipe –Β stuffed french bread and hadn’t shared it on here yet. Honestly, I can’t remember the exact website I found the recipe from and it’s not on my Pinterest food board! But I came across this oneΒ and it may or may not be the one I used at the time I took these photos but the ingredients and steps seem the same!
First you’ll need french bread. You’ll need to hollow them out as best as possible without ripping the crust. Set the insides aside because you’ll be using them later.
Next, brown some ground beef. The recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of finely chopped onion. Since it only called for 2 tablespoons, I used a shallot instead of an onion. After the beef browned and I drained excess oil, I added in celery, cream of mushroom soup, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
Add the beef mixture to the chunks of bread you had scooped out and mix it together. Then, pour it into the baguettes.
Top it off with shredded cheddar cheese, put the top half of the baguette on, and put it in the oven at 350 for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is all melted.
This stuffed french bread sandwich is so good! Really great for the cold weather, whenever it starts back up. I definitely plan on making this again in the next week or two!
