Photo Challenge: Variations on a Theme
Happy Friday! This has felt like the longest week. Anyone else feel that way? For last week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post, I thought for a while of what I could use. The challenge was “Variations on a Theme“. The example given was of a whole display of different forms of gouda cheese at a shop in Amsterdam. Such a great example! I have similar photos from my trip, but didn’t want to do the same thing. But I did choose a food photo. I took this photo back in September when I was at a macaron shop, Woops!, at the mall. I love macarons and since I don’t get them that often, I had to indulge and get a little box with handpicked flavors.
Aren’t the colors so pretty? They tasted even better than they looked. I love all the variations of flavors and designs of macarons. I think the flavors I got were lime, strawberry, pistachio, lemon, raspberry, and honey lavender – if I remember correctly. And now I want a macaron!

Macarons are my current dessert obsession! I don’t know why, but I recently got into them. This post made me so happy! I know it’s an old picture, but I’m still super jealous. Love the photo!
