Sailor Shorts

How can adding a few buttons to shorts make them so much cuter? I’ve always thought sailor shorts were so stylish and an easy way to dress up a summer look. When I saw that LOFT had black ones this summer and they fit me perfectly and so comfortably, I had to get them.

I wore these black sailor shorts with my reversible tank top that I first shared last summer in (this post). I wore the solid teal color side instead of the floral – shocking for me, I know! – because I didn’t want to stand out! I wore this outfit on my first full day in Hong Kong when I went exploring a bit in the morning and then to Lantau Island to see the big Buddha. I wrote all about it in (this post) if you missed it!

I love these shorts and I think they’ll be a great transition piece into fall as well with a long sleeve tee tucked in or with a oversized cardigan.
