I’m back with another home decor/furniture post. A desk wasn’t at the top of my list for furniture to get, but after the essentials that I needed to buy new (dining table, bedroom furniture, coffee table, kitchen cart, entry way table etc.) a desk was next on the list. A desk wasn’t something I needed urgently as I mostly work from my laptop on the couch and if I need to really sit I can sit at the dining table. I knew I needed one eventually so that I could have somewhere to put my cable modem, router, and a printer (when I buy one). So when I got back from vacation I started browsing on Wayfair. I wanted something simple and that would fit in the corner of my living room. When I saw the Marotta Campaign Writing Desk from Mercury Row on the Wayfair website, I loved it immediately! It was sleek, simple, and the perfect size.
I know I need to do something to hide all those wires and make it look prettier, but all in all I love this desk! The twilight blue color is so pretty and it goes perfectly with the blue accent wall in the room. It’s brighter so it doesn’t blend in with the walls. When I first saw this desk, it reminded me of a desk I saw blogger History in High Heels had shared in her new apartment last year. I remember loving her desk so when I saw this one it reminded me of it so much! Coincidentally, hers is also from Wayfair, but has 3 drawers and is by a different brand. Hers is also a brighter blue and has gold hardware which looks so chic. I’m happy with mine though!
Right now I have a green glass and gold touch lamp (old, really old) and a monitor on the desk. In the drawers I have some bills, stamps, and boring things like that. If you’re interested in the desk, I’ve linked to it above. It’s currently sold out in the color I have but there are a bunch of others to choose from and according to the website my color will be back in stock next month.
Have a great Monday!
