Traveling to San Francisco
Happy Saturday! If you’ve been following me on Instagram then you know I’m on vacation in San Francisco and will be here for another couple days. I’ve only been to San Francisco one time before and that was 20 years ago so it’s been a while to say the least. I remember the steep streets and the cool weather. I remember a few of the landmark sites and attractions like Coit Tower, Lombard Street, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge etc. I’d heard from a few people over the past few months that San Francisco has changed a lot over the years and many aspects of it had gone downhill, but the trip sort of fell in to our laps (I’m traveling with family) after our original destination didn’t work out due to schedules and surely visiting a city is different than living in it.
I’ve only been here a few days and most of those days have been filled with day trips but I still like the city. However, I will note that there are a lot of homeless people – like an uncomfortable amount so it has effected my overall feelings towards the city.
To start off, I woke up really early for my flight and dressed as comfortable as possible. Leggings, sneakers, green & white striped tank top, and this baby pink sweatshirt with palm print that says “Troop Beverly Hills”. Yes, SF may not be Beverly Hills, but it’s as close as I’m going to get this year. And this adorable sweatshirt needed to be worn!

After a long security line (way longer than I expected at 7am on a Tuesday) I boarded my flight at 8:40am only to sit there at the gate, on the plane, for over 3 more hours! Apparently there was a scheduling issue and we had to wait for a pilot to arrive.
So after a longer travel day than expected, we finally arrived in SF and after checking in to the hotel we decided to walk down to Union Square to walk around a bit and then get dinner closer to the hotel.

We called it an early night because the time change (California is 3 hours behind NJ) and the long travel day.
Tomorrow’s post will have a ton of photos, so stay tuned!
