Almost Off-the-Shoulder Top
I hope you all had a great weekend! I can’t believe it’s already the middle of August pretty much. It’s actually my last full week of summer break before I go back to work for the new school year. It’s too sad to think about so let’s move on to this outfit I wore on vacation in San Francisco.
I’m calling this top an “almost off-the-shoulder” because it is just that – a top that is almost off the shoulder, but not quite. I thought about calling it a wide neckline top, but wasn’t sure and when I searched up “almost off-the-shoulder” to see if there was a better name, tops actually came up that were called “almost off-the-shoulder” so I’m sticking with that! I’m loving the wide neckline, ribbed detailing, and buttons. It is cropped, so I sized up so that it wouldn’t be too short and sizing up allowed it to hit right at the top of my hip. Since it is on the shorter side I wore it with a black lace bodysuit underneath, which worked out because the lightweight top is slightly see-through since it is so thin. I finished off the look with distressed black jeans and black slip on sneakers. And since San Francisco is not the warmest California town, I also wore a boyfriend cardigan most of the day to keep warm!
Top: Abercrombie & Fitch | Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch | Sweater: Express | Crossbody Bag: Coach | Slip-On Sneakers: Red Dress Boutique | Sunglasses: Quay Australia (here)
This outfit was so comfortable to be out and about it sightseeing all day long. I love how stretchy the jeans are and the distressing is minimal – basically just slits at the knees which you can barely see in these photos- so they were perfect for me. The top was very comfortable too and I didn’t have to do any pulling or tugging at the shoulders or anything which was really nice and easy. And the button detailing just makes the top even better. I must say I’m a big fan of this neckline!
