Chef Yang 46
A few weeks ago I was invited to dine at Chef Yang 46 , a gourmet Chinese restaurant in Clifton, NJ. I was sent a tasting menu to give me an idea of my choices for appetizers, entrees, etc and I enlisted a friend to go with me for dinner. We went last Sunday and when we were seated menus were placed on our table. Like regular menus. So when the waiter came for our drink order, I asked if we were supposed to order from the tasting menu I was sent and he said I could or I could order anything I want. Since the tasting menu looked like a lot of food for just two of us we decided to order from the menu. Which actually ended up being a ton of food anyway!
First off, the restaurant is really nicely decorated inside with a modern feel to it. There is a bar, but we stuck with water and tea.
For appetizers we ordered the pork wontons, which may have been my favorite thing we ordered, but a bit spicy! We also ordered the sliced pork belly as an appetizer.
For entrees we ordered the sesame chicken and general tso tofu. Both were delicious but such big dishes! I also ordered a side of rice. We ate a lot and still had enough to both take home chicken and tofu. Like enough chicken and tofu for another meal for each of us!
We were too stuffed for dessert, but were given fortune cookies and oranges to end our meal. I took a picture of my fortune because maybe it means something exciting will happen for me soon!
The food at Chef Yang 46 was delicious and the wait staff was so nice!
Thank you Chef Yang 46 for the invite!
*My visit to Chef Yang 46 was complimentary, but all opinions are my own.*
