Tzatziki Sauce
Who doesn’t love tzatziki sauce? Most times I eat it I’ll buy it pre-made from the store, but every once in a while I’ll make it from scratch. It’s so refreshing and the perfect condiment to so many things. When I made a batch here, I was able to use it for multiple meals – grilled chicken for one meal and with falafel for another meal.
I use this recipe I found via Pinterest a few years ago.
You’ll need:
- cucumber
- fresh dill
- lemon juice
- garlic
- salt
- pepper
- greek yogurt
To make the sauce, slice the cucumber lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Then use a grater – I usually use my microplane – to grate the cucumber. Place your strainer over a bowl to catch all the liquid. Sprinkle some salt on the cucumber and squeeze out the extra moisture.
In a bowl combine all the ingredients and mix together. Refrigerate the sauce for at least an hour.

As you can see tzatziki sauce is easy to make! Perfect for the summer!
