Embrace whole-body healthcare.

Your body is your temple, so to speak, and you should treat it that way. You are bombarded with messages regarding how you must take care of your health and what you should put into your body. One of the most important things you should do is take care of yourself by taking a whole-body approach to healthcare. Move your body every day.

Some people swear by a daily sweat session that keeps their bodies toned and in optimal condition. Others want to exercise more but do not know where to start. Most people lie somewhere in the middle regarding their physical fitness. If you want to begin exercising more but are unsure of how to start, the best thing to do is simply begin. Put on your walking shoes and get moving. Take your dog for a walk every morning before work and once again after work. Slowly increase your speed and spend more time on the sidewalk or trail. Take breaks at work to get up and stretch. Be intentional about taking the stairs instead of the elevator and make it a practice to park as far away from buildings as possible to incorporate more movement into your day. The most important thing about exercising is to start and stay the course.
