Photo Challenge: Dreamy

This past week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post was dreamy. I’m sharing a photo I took last December when I went to visit some family in Georgia. We went to see the Garden Lights at the Atlanta Botanical Garden which offers a whole host of Christmas lights, decorations and music along a pretty, light filled trail. This shot I took seemed particularly dreamy to me because the picture is dark and the lights glisten off the wet ground. I really do love the reflection of the lights off the wet pavement. The blue and green lights are muted so they’re not bright and in your face. The lit up tree at the end of the path makes me think of some goal or destination you’re trying to reach and can’t quite get to in your dream.

I promise I’m not going to be one of those people who writes all Christmas-y posts before Halloween even passes! It just so happens that this picture seems to fit this dreamy challenge. No pun intended!
