December Favorites

Another month has gone by and not only is it the last day of December, but it’s also the last day of 2014. Can you believe it?! I can’t. I feel like the years go by faster and faster. Too fast for my liking! Anyway, I’ll reflect on 2014 in a post a little later today, but for now let’s discuss my December favorites.

Favorite Quote:

I just finished teaching the novel to my 9th graders and it’s still one of my all-time favorites. I first read it when I was in 8th grade and I’m so happy that I get to teach it. It’s truly a novel that I feel I appreciate even more with each reading. It’s chock full of good quotes, but this is probably my favorite.

Favorite TV Show: 
I’ve been watching Revenge since it started a few years ago. Some episodes and seasons have been better than others, but I think this season it’s really starting to shake up the whole storyline. The end of last season saw a lot of twists and shocking events. The mid-season finale shocked me too so for that reason it was my favorite show of the month. However, The Newsroom gets an honorable mention too because this past and short final season was great and left me wishing they had decided to do more seasons.

Favorite Movie:
I recently saw The Hundred Foot Journey and absolutely loved it. It’s about more than just food and adapting to changes in your environment and culture, but about following your passion and dreams no matter what. I highly recommend seeing this movie if you haven’t because it is so entertaining and I love the idea that if you believe in your dreams enough and work hard, you can overcome any obstacle to achieve that dream.

Favorite Beauty Item: 
My favorite beauty item for the month is the Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in the shade “Blush”. It’s a gorgeous mid-tone pink and you know me and my pinks/neutrals!

Favorite Song: 
Besides Christmas music, my favorite song of December has been Calvin Harris “Blame”. So catchy! You know you want to click below and listen!
