Winter Cabin

Winter Cabin
I originally was going to post this evening about my new rain boots, but since today’s a snowy day here where I live I thought I’d save that for another day. We didn’t get nearly enough snow to get an early dismissal, but I did get to go home right after the students left instead of having to stay for another hour like we’re normally supposed to so that was nice.
Although, we didn’t get significant amounts of snow, it is, however, pretty cold out there so it made me think of this Polyvore set I made a few weeks ago on a winter cabin. No, I don’t own a winter cabin, but that doesn’t stop me from dreaming! So technically this doesn’t look like a typical cabin and probably would be more like a ski mansion, but hey it’s my dream right?

I’m also not a winter sports person. I tried snowboarding once and nearly died so I’m not sure I’ll be doing that again! I hear skiing is easier but I’ve never tried that. I do want to try snow tubing one day because it looks like a lot of fun and I feel like that probably doesn’t require much skill. Anyway, I love the large windows that I chose to let in plenty of sunlight and views of the greenery in the summer and the beautiful snow in the winter. I absolutely love the high ceilings too. A large fireplace is also a must to keep you warm and also to make you feel cozy. The “Welcome to Our Neck of the Woods” sign adds a nice personal touch to make it feel really homey.

I hope you’re enjoying the weather, wherever you are!
