Post-Break OOTD

Monday was my first day back to work and it was so difficult to get up early, especially when it’s so cold and the last thing you want to do is get out from under your covers! I wore black and light grey – possibly a reflection of my mood since my break was over. I did break it up a bit by wearing a blue/green sleeveless top underneath the sweater and a light blue and clear gem necklace for pops of color. The shoulder has faux brass buttons with an anchor design which is a nice added touch to the solid color of the sweater.

The sweater was a lot thinner than I thought it was before I put it on, so thankfully I decided at the last minute to wear a knit open cardigan as well. The weather is freezing outside, but it’s cold inside my building too so I’m so happy I threw the cardigan (not pictured) on before heading out.

The Snow Angel Palette was Stila’s holiday release 2 years ago and when I first pulled out items for my basket, I totally forgot that the outside pans of the palette are cheek colors so that’s why I also have the Tarte blush there. The ELF Matte Lip Color in “Nearly Nude” is a little too nude for me, but I’ll figure out how to make it work/make use of it. It’s one of those shades that comes off a lot lighter than the color looks in the tube. The color on the packaging and when looking at the actual product doesn’t actually look all that light, but when it’s actually on it comes off super light so I’ve had to play around with it a bit.

So that’s how I started off my first week back style wise! Hope you are all having a good week so far, especially if it’s also your first week back to work and/or school. At least it’s already Wednesday!
