Mesh Hi-Lo

It’s the dreaded last day of the weekend. Sunday comes in just behind Monday on my least liked days of the week. While I can usually relax on Sundays and sleep in later than during the work week, it’s just the thought that it’s the end of the weekend that ruins it for me. Anyone else feel that way about Sundays?

So back at the beginning of the weekend, Friday night, after a post-nap work, some food, and retouching my makeup and hair I got dressed to go out. I met up with some friends at a restaurant/bar so I wanted to wear something casual yet fun to shake off the work week.

The top is unique with it’s mesh detailing by the shoulders and the fact that the bottom half of the back is all mesh. Since it is a hi-lo top, there is much more material to be mesh in the back. It’s a nice change from the normal hi-lo top that we’re all used to seeing now.

My jeans are meant to be capris that I rolled down for this look. Since they are technically meant to be capris, the calf section is much more fitted, which works for me since I sometimes have trouble finding pants that fit me just so.

My flats are a glossy, pointed-toe flat from ASOS. When I put them on for the first time, they hurt a little bit which was not good! But, luckily after the first wear the material definitely loosened and became much more comfortable. I guess they just needed to be broken in. I actually had contemplated wearing boots with this look, but then changed my mind at the last minute. I’m so happy I did because I think the flats look perfect with this top and jeans and not covering up my legs with boots (no matter the boot length) accentuates my legs.

The weather this coming week is supposed to be pretty warm and even bordering on hot so my looks will be changing. More dresses, skirts, thinner blouses, etc to come for sure!
