Yea or Nay: Fruit Print

A few months ago when we were transitioning from spring to summer, there was a lot of talk about fruit print on the fast track to popularity. Everything I saw online about this summer trend featured really bright and bold fruit prints, which I think are fun but not necessarily something I’d wear out for fear of looking like a little kid.

But then I saw this cute tee at JCrew Factory featuring pineapples. What I love about this top besides that the cotton is so soft and lightweight, is that the pineapples aren’t some bold, cartoonish color but instead are gold foil print.

The print is still fun; it’s just not in your face and it doesn’t make me look like a little kid.

So I’m a Yea if the fruit print is something like this gold foiled look, but most probably a Nay if it is too big and colorful.

Now after all this talk predicting the fruit print trend, I haven’t actually seen it much at all out in public in real life, but maybe people in my area just aren’t that into fruit print? Let me know if you’ve seen it where you are!
