Olivia Palermo is one of the biggest style icons out there and she has collaborated with Ciaté on a number of products since her time as the brand’s Guest Creative Director. Around the holidays I picked up two items from the collaboration: the Satin Kiss Lipstick in the shade “Truffle” and the Smouldering Eye Palette.
The Satin Kiss Lipstick in “Truffle” is described as a true nude. Ciaté describes their Satin Kiss Lipsticks as “A long-wearing, satin-soft lip color formulated with hyaluronic acid and pure pigment for moisturizing color”.
The Smouldering Eye Palette features nine shades with matte and shimmer finishes. The brand describes the palette as, “An eye palette with nine fabric-inspired, suede-like textures for simple to smoky eye looks.”
The packaging is top notch and you can definitely tell they invested in making it not only durable, but beautiful. This means a lot to me, if you remember my post about the Hourglass Ambient Lighting packaging! I love attention to detail and the little things like the textured eye palette case or the engraved “OP” on the lipstick are the kind of touches that elevate products to another level.
The shades are all very wearable, which I love! For this look I stuck to a very neutral look for a casual weekend day. The lipstick is creamy and you can get a pretty opaque look with one swipe.
As mentioned before, the packaging is great and I enjoy the products. Is it anything revolutionary or a must-have? No. But if you want to try something from this collaboration between this style icon and this beauty brand, you won’t be disappointed by the Smouldering Eye Palette and Satin Kiss Lipstick, in my opinion.
