Pops of Pink
Anyone else feel like this past weekend was definitely not long enough? Remember last winter (if you’ve been following me for that long) when I wrote about how I was starting to get really tired of all the snow days and the cabin fever was setting in? I take it back, I’d like some snow days now please!
To make this Monday just a little bit better, I’m sharing an outfit I wore last month to go out to the city for my friend’s 30th birthday. We went out to New York City for dinner (review coming up in the future, but I showed a peek of the restaurant during a recent photo challenge post), an effort to Escape the Room, and some drinks.
I wore black leggings that have a faux leather tuxedo stripe on the legs, a purple-ish/berry colored top that has pink sequins, wedge booties, and a sparkly pink ring. The pink sequins and pink ring helped name this blog post.
Top: Apt. 9 via Kohls | Leggings: Apt. 9 via Kohls | Booties: DSW | Ring: Macy’s
I love love love the pops of pink in this outfit. I’m not one of those people that is all about pink – it’s definitely not my favorite color, but I don’t hate it either. The pops of pink in this outfit in the form of the sequins in this dark pink/purple/sorta berry top and my large pink ring are fun pops of color.
The only jewelry I wore was my ring. With a large, sparkly ring on my middle finger I didn’t feel the need to have to wear anything else. Besides, the sequins on my top paired with my ring was enough to dress up my entire look, which is why I kept the rest of the look super simple with the black ponte knit leggings and booties.
This outfit was perfect for my outing. Dressy enough for dinner and drinks in the city, but comfortable enough to be walking around in the city in the winter as well as running around trying to figure out how to get out of the room at Escape the Room!
