Valentia Review
Valentia – the Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask and the True Glow Eye Cream. Since I’m always up for trying out new skincare products and winter is the best time to try out hydrating products, I knew I wanted to give these two a try.
I’m back with another skincare product review! I was recently sent two products fromThe products come packaged in sleek white boxes with gold trim so my initial impression of the packaging was that they seem pretty luxe.
The packaging for the Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask is a white plastic with the same gold trim on the label. The True Glow Eye Serum comes in a glass bottle with a pump, which is always a nice feature.
The eye cream claims to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, lighten dark circles, depuff eye area, and nourish and hydrate the eye area. While the eye cream has a pump, I found that it was still hard to control the amount of product released. One small pump still gave me way more than I needed to pat under both of my eyes. The cream is certainly hydrating and feels nice on the skin, but I haven’t been using it long enough to really tell whether it is lightening my dark circles or reducing any fine lines.
Below is a picture of the face mask. I won’t lie, I was initially put off by the appearance of this mask. I opened the container imagining a white, creamy product that would exude spa smells. Instead, I opened it up to a yellow, jelly-like product (and I do mean jelly-like – it even jiggles!) and the smell is of the medicinal sort. I actually think I made a face at the thought of having to apply this to my face!
But, of course I did apply it to my face and I have a few times in the past few weeks. The mask claims to provide intense hydration, combat the signs of aging (through its Silk Protein Amino Acid blend, Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, CoQ10, and Organic Sea Buckthorn Oil), and provide a glowing radiance. It also claims to boast naturally nourishing ingredients such as Japanese Green Tea and Aloe Vera.
The mask applies very smoothly and I put a thin layer all over my face, avoiding the eye area. The instructions say to leave the mask on for 15-30 minutes and then remove using a damp, warm washcloth. I have kept it on for roughly 20 minutes each time I’ve used it. After a few minutes the mask made my skin feel a little tighter and there was a slight tingling. After wiping the mask off with the washcloth, my skin immediately felt plumper and soft. Despite the appearance of the mask and the slightly off-putting medicinal scent, it left my face feeling pleasantly smooth and soft.
Have any of you tried any products from Valentia?
