Heart Knit Sweater
4 days of work until spring break. That’s right, I am counting down! I’m going to try to get a lot of work done this week (grading, lesson plans, etc.) so I don’t have to think about it over break and can truly relax. Let’s see how well my plan works…
Yesterday was the first day of spring and it was a cold and windy day with some flurries. Crazy! The forecast for the rest of the week seems to be much warmer so I’m hoping to make the complete transition to spring clothes soon. In the meantime, I’ve got a bunch of cold weather and transition looks left to share with you. Today, I’m sharing a look I wore a few weeks ago – a grey sweater with hearts woven in and blue/grey chinos.
Sweater: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Pants: Girlfriend Chino via Gap (similar here) | Necklace: Francesca’s
This sweater is so cute and I love the woven hearts. The fact that the hearts are woven in the same color as the rest of the sweater lets it blend in more so it’s not too bold or in your face. What’s a little less noticeable, however, are the hearts on the arms. So I saw this sweater at the store a few months ago and did that whole “should I or shouldn’t I?” dance around it and ultimately decided not to get it. Then, a month or two later I saw it online on clearance for something like $10. Fate, I tell ya!
The sweater is perfect for the early days of spring because, while soft and cozy, it is pretty lightweight. I completed the look with dark grey/blue-ish (though I believe Gap called the color “washed black”) girlfriend chinos from Gap and the necklace made up of green semi-circles.
I hope you all have a good start to the week!
