Photo Challenge: Earth + Blog Anniversary
Before I get in to today’s photo challenge post, I wanted to share that I got a notification last night from WordPress that it was my 2 year blog anniversary! I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since I first created this site and pushed “publish”. It’s been 2 years of a lot of hard work, which I’m thankful still does not feel like work or a chore. I’ve made some wonderful friends and have watched my blog grow. Here’s to another year of growth! Thank you for being a part of my journey!
Back to the photo challenge. When I think of “Earth”, I think of green. And dirt. Last week, it rained for about 5 days straight. It finally stopped on Sunday, but the ground was still wet, muddy, and lush after all that rain. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to figure out a photo for this week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post for “Earth”.
While walking around outside in my rain boots, I saw some dandelions. I really wanted to find a full, fluffy, white dandelion, but I couldn’t find any. Maybe it’s the time of year or they’d been trampled on already or after all the rain they lost their fluff?
So the dandelion is not exactly what I had hoped for, but hey such is life. This little guy is still standing tall amidst the wet grass, leaves, and weeds, after weathering multiple days of downpour, so it deserves a little attention.

Thanks! I used my brother’s phone to take the picture because he has an app for macro shots.
