Photo Challenge: Elemental
Last week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post was “Elemental” and the example given was of the red rocks in Sedona, Arizona. It was a great example of the elements. I went to Sedona for vacation a few years ago, but I didn’t want to do the exact same thing as the example. So I thought about other landscape photos I had that were good examples of the earthly elements. I decided to go with this photo I took from outside my hotel at the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge in Alaska last summer.
There is such a great mix of different elements here. The wild flowers, earthy rocks, river, evergreen trees across the water, the clouds and sky, and the mountains in the distance. If you look very closely you can see some snow on the mountains. Just to the left of this photo there were higher mountains with noticeable snow but I chose this photo instead because I liked the flowers at the bottom.
I enjoyed looking back on my photos from Alaska for this post. The views there were so beautiful!
