Tropical Leaf Asymmetrical Tank

Sunday already?! I’m 2/3 through my baby event filled weekend (1 year old birthday party yesterday for lunch, a party for my bff’s baby boy last night, and a baby shower today) so it’s been tiring to say the least. So while I’m off getting ready to attend my friend’s baby shower today I’m thinking about this cute, laid back look featuring this tropical leaf print asymmetrical tank. It’s so flowy and I love the print and trim.

This asymmetrical top is so cute with the tropical leaf print and tie straps. I love that it’s long enough to wear with leggings. The length makes it even more wearable for a casual day – because I associate leggings with casual days of course. The crochet trim is the perfect finishing touch to the top. I honestly don’t think it would look as good without the trim!

I decided to wear navy blue leggings with the top since 1) the tank top is long enough to wear leggings and 2) I thought it looked nice paired with the print. The leggings were also a good idea because leggings are fitted (obviously) so it’s a nice contrast to the flowy loose top. It’s kind of like that rule where if you’re showing a lot of leg, be modest on top and vice versa. If you’re wearing something loose on top then wear something more fitted on the button to balance out the look and not look like you’re swimming in fabric. and frumpy.
