Today’s my last day of work until the new year! I’m so excited for a little bit of a break, but not ready for Christmas or my trip next week yet. But I’m sure after work’s done today I’ll be able to shift my focus on to finishing up my gift wrapping and thinking of what I need to pack!
In the meantime, I’m really excited about today’s post. These are some highlights of the first look (of 3) from my winter photoshoot with Jaye Kogut Photography. I chose this one to share today because it’s so holiday appropriate and earlier this week I mentioned that my posts this week and pretty much the rest of the month would be holiday packed. For this look I wanted to feature my new super cozy white shearling coat and embellished boxy crossbody bag. I wore these pieces with black fleece lined leggings, burgundy booties, and a light pink sweater with tiny metal stud embellishments.
Coat: Gap | Sweater: Banana Republic | Leggings: J.Crew | Booties: Unisa via DSW | Purse: Topshop via Nordstrom
I absolutely love this coat. It is so soft and cozy. It’s got a good weight to it too. I got it from Gap on sale, plus I had Gap cash so I got it for an amazing deal. Unfortunately the coat and my gorgeous bag are no longer available, but I’m sure with the holidays and the cold weather in full swing you’ll be able to find similar pieces.
My embellished boxy crossbody bag is a beautiful pale pink with embellishments that look like flowers made of white and emerald stones. I saw it a few months ago in a Nordstrom ad on Instagram and had to have it!
The leggings were the perfect bottoms to wear with this outfit to keep me warm (they’re fleece lined) and for a more fitted look with a loose fitting coat. The burgundy booties are a nice pop of color against the black leggings and a nice contrast to the purse. Not to mention the combination of the shearling coat and burgundy booties is a great winter and holiday look!
The holly trees that surrounded us for this photoshoot were perfect for winter and I’m loving this whole outfit and all the shots!
Winter photoshoot look #2 to come in a few weeks!
