As we approach the start of the really cold winter weather, it’s easy to get in to the habit of wearing dark clothes. Don’t get me wrong, I love my black & grey attire as much as the next person, but every once in a while I like to wear something bright and cheery. It can be great to wear some bright colors just to brighten your mood and forget about the freezing temperatures outside.
I love this floral lace smocked hem blouse I got a few months ago. The blue, magenta, and yellowish green are a great color combo. The vertical lace trim is always a style detail that I like. The ruffled bell sleeves are a nice detail as well. The sleeves aren’t truly bell sleeves as they don’t really flare out (in fact the sleeves are fitted) until halfway between the elbow and wrist, but I couldn’t find the proper name. I Google’d a few different sleeve types such as trumpet sleeves and ruffled bell, but couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. No matter, the point is these delicate statement sleeves are so pretty!

I love this floral print and as stated earlier, I think the colors of the flowers and leaves on the navy blue look great together. The lace details at the shoulder are perfect and are a great style detail to the flowy blouse. The blouse is a little short , but the smocked hem keeps it from being a crop top. I have a tank top that went perfectly with the color of the flowers so that worked out amazingly as, like I said before, the top is a bit short so the tank top peaked out from underneath.
I paired the blouse with black cords and black ankle wrap shoes, my new favorite shoe! I love the metal heel. They were my top choice to finish off this outfit.
I hope you enjoyed this outfit. I know it definitely brightens my day!
