Tied Plaid Top + High Waisted Denim

I have entered in to the high waisted jean/pant world. Okay, I only have one pair – this pair that I’m wearing in this post, but I’m actually loving them which I wasn’t expecting. For the longest time, I avoided high-waisted jeans because I didn’t think they’d be comfortable or look good on me because I have a short torso. But the more I saw them on people of all different body types, the more I wanted to try them out. Since so many tops and sweaters are shorter nowadays or a crop length, I thought it’d be a good idea to at least try out a pair of high waisted pants and hope to like them.

I decided to tie up my plaid top for a different look and thanks to these high waisted denim pants I was able to do that without showing off my belly. They hide the love handles too, which is great! I finished off the look with blue velvet bow slip on shoes.

These pants have a lot of stretch and they’re so comfortable, as I’d expect with Uniqlo pants. I’m officially on board the high waisted train and I think they’ll be great in the summer when all the crop tops come out. I definitely would like to buy another pair, probably a more traditional jean.
