Blue Velvet Midi Skirt

This light blue velvet pleated midi skirt is so dreamy. It makes me think of Cinderella actually. I’ve been waiting for so long to wear this skirt, because I wanted it to be warm enough to wear without tights – I don’t think it’d look good with tights – and before it got too warm to wear it. The ruffled or paper bag waist and blue ribbon are the cutest details. I paired the skirt with a plain white long sleeve tee which allowed the skirt to be the star of the outfit. I also like the mix of casual and dressy. I wore light grey open-toed sandals to finish off the look.

The skirt is so pretty right?! I got a lot of compliments on it at work a few days ago so I’m happy that people like it as much as I do. The color is so pretty and the pleats help make the velvet shimmer in the light.

I think the block heels were the perfect footwear for the outfit. One of my coworkers said she could never wear heels all day standing and walking around, but I told her block heels are so comfy! I’m a teacher so I’m on my feet a lot of the day and seriously my feet don’t ache at all when I’m wearing them. Block heels for the win!
