Blue Velvet Plaid

I think plaid can be worn all year long, personally, but one way to make it work for sure in spring is to wear it in a sheer blouse. The plaid in this sheer bell sleeve blouse has an open back and velvet plaid stripes. It’s so simple, yet so pretty.

I wore a navy blue tank top underneath this blouse to keep with the blue theme. The back is open and connects at two points for a flowy look. I paired the blouse with black pants and my favorite black mules that I just wrote about in my monthly favorites earlier today. Lastly, I just wore my black and gold watch and a fun triangle line ring that I got as a gift a few years ago. My best friend gave me the ring along with a matching bangle, but I wore just the ring for this outfit.

The blue velvet plaid stripes are so pretty and I love the richness of the velvet. Velvet and plaid are two styles I never thought about working together, but they do!
