Grey Crochet Top
How was your weekend? My friends’ 4-day wedding festivities ended on Saturday night/Sunday morning and while it was a really fun weekend I’m tired and not ready to return to work! There are less than 3 weeks left to the school year, but the end of the year is always hectic and add in that I am getting my new townhouse move-in ready and it’s going to be a busy month!
I’m going to share what I wore to the reception in tomorrow’s blog post, but for today I’m sharing a top I wore to work last week. This grey crochet top with a high collar and buttons on the back is so pretty. I love the delicate and intricate design. There is an attached grey lining inside. Usually attached linings in tops can be tricky because they don’t always fit correctly since everyone’s body proportions are different. I once had to cut the threads that attached a lining inside a dress because it fit weird. I had to put them on separately (still using both pieces) and it fit so much better. Anyway, this lining inside the grey crochet top actually fit me perfectly so no adjustments needed to be made! It didn’t come up too high where it felt ill-fitting and it didn’t fall too low where my bra was showing.
Top: Chicwish (here) |Pants: LOFT | Shoes: DSW | Watch: Fossil
The top is currently still available on the Chicwish website and I’ve linked to it above. I got this back in February so I’m surprised it’s still around! It fit perfectly and I love that it’s not tight. It’s got kind of a loose peplum structure to it. It’s not fitted but it doesn’t look too big and unflattering either. I wore this top with black pants and grey shoes with black bows.
This top looked great with black pants for work but it would look great too with jeans and heels for a date night or night out for dinner.
