Floral Wrap Maxi

I’m so happy it’s finally Friday! I’ve been in a funk this week, not sleeping enough, and yesterday was a really long day at work. 10 hours of parent/teacher conferences was so tiring and I got home with a headache and not feeling too good. But I went to sleep earlier than I have been and it’s Friday so I’m ready for a new day!

Today I’m sharing the first look of three I shot with Lauren earlier this month for our fall shoot. We took these photos at Monmouth Battlefield State Park. This floral wrap maxi is so pretty. I love the large florals and wrap dresses have been a love of mine this year. I wore a cami underneath because it’s quite low. There’s no slip or anything just a short lining so I had to be careful when the wind was blowing! For shoes, I debated what to wear. I didn’t want to wear sandals because it was a fall shoot. I also didn’t want to wear heels with this dress. I decided on cowboy boots that my best friend bought me for my birthday years ago (it was an inside joke that resulted in an actual gift). I hardly ever get to wear them for obvious reasons, but everyone keeps talking about how cowboy boots are a real trend this year so I thought they’d be the perfect choice to wear with this floral wrap maxi.

I love how these photos of the dress turned out. The lighting and how Lauren edited them in the fields, on the bridge, and under the trees gives me vintage vibes and sort of like photos taken on film. Perfect for fall!

The photos for this look are definitely one of my favorites ever! I’m looking forward to showing you guys the other two looks. I’m already planning out my holiday looks for our next shoot!
