Apple Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Bites
I couldn’t think of a better title for this post and snack so that’s why it’s the long title of “Apple Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Bites”. I found this easy fall snack idea on Pinterest and I tried it out last weekend. It is so so good!
For this recipe you’ll need pretzels, apple, and Rolo candy. Lay your pretzels out on a baking sheet and place an unwrapped Rolo on each one. At this time also cut your apple into a chunks that will fit on your pretzels. Then put the pretzels topped with the Rolos in the oven at 250 for just a few minutes. Keep an eye on the chocolate! You want the chocolate covered caramel candies to be softened but not all melted. When you take the pretzels out, place an apple chunk on each pretzel. I put toothpicks in the apples since that’s how it was done in the original recipe, but I think in the future when I make this I’d just skip the toothpick. When I picked them up by the toothpick they would sort of fall apart and I’d end up just using my fingers to pick them up anyway.
These are so delicious. The combination of sweet from the chocolate and caramel, to the saltiness of the pretzel, and the fresh pop of flavor from the apple is perfection.
I have another green apple so I might make this again this week!
