August 2020 Favorites
It’s been a really weird summer and I can’t believe tomorrow is already September. For a summer that I could hardly do anything, it still flew by. Before I get into the few things I picked out for my August favorites, I wanted to remind you that I’m running a book giveaway and it’s open until Wednesday! See my blog post from Saturday for details on how to enter! First, I have always loved Swedish Fish and have been snacking on them like crazy in August. I love chewy/gummy candies, but I’m not a huge sweets person so for me to be eating these a lot this month means I have…

July 2020 Favorites
We’re already at the last day of July. Part of me can’t believe it’s going to be August tomorrow and part of me feels like this is the longest year in history. I only have a few favorites this month and I know I sometimes say that and then the list ends up being longer than intended. But, I really do only have a few this time! One of the things I did this month was float down the Delaware River for a few miles. It was my first time tubing and it was so nice and relaxing. It was especially nice to get out since life isn’t exactly normal…

Songs on Repeat
I’m one of those people that when I find a song or songs I like I can’t stop listening to them. I can literally listen to the same song on repeat for an hour car ride. Back when I was in high school, my friend and I would call these songs on repeat our “summer jams”. The current song on repeat for me is “Be Kind” by Marshmello and Halsey. It’s so good. I love the melody and the lyrics. I thought I would round up some songs (including “Be Kind”) that I’ve been listening to a lot lately. Some are old, some are newer. They’re just what I’ve been…

Queen T-Shirt
When I was placing a Walmart order a few weeks ago for coffee and things, I came across this fun Queen tee. Freddie Mercury’s face on the Queen playing card! The tee comes in white and black and I opted for the white. The graphic is not what I expected – it’s not printed on, it’s like it’s ironed on so the graphic feels plastic-y. But the tee is only $13, so for that price I don’t mind too much. I thought to go along with this tee I would list 5 of my favorite Queen songs. Bohemian Rhapsody is on the list of course. 2 of my friends and…

August 2019 Favorites
August was so crazy and busy that it felt like a really long month, but at the same time I can’t believe it’s actually September. In August I went to San Francisco for a week, had to wear my glasses for 2 weeks, had a birthday, went to see Backstreet Boys , had my first session of the Vbeam laser on my face, went back to work, got in to LIKEtoKnow.it and moved out of my townhouse. That is a lot of things! All in one month! Since I am exhausted from all the packing this weekend, let’s get right to my favorites in August. I’ll try to make it quick!…

July 2019 Favorites
Well, this summer is truly flying by and I’m not too happy about it. Why do summers always fly by? Especially as a teacher? There was so much I wanted to do this summer – a lot more writing than I’ve done (which is close to nothing), but I have a little bit of time left to maybe at least start my project and not be a total waste. Anyway, let’s get to my July favorites. There have been a few things this month that I didn’t just really like, but I seriously loved and became maybe, slightly obsessed with. First up, Pepperidge Farm Sausalito Cookies. It’s been a long…

Rent: Live (Sort of)
Did you catch Rent: Live on Sunday night? I watched it but since it didn’t end until 11 I wasn’t able to get a post up recapping my thoughts on it until today. So why do I have “Sort of” in the title? Well, when the show started there was a little caption in the corner that said “pre-recorded” and I wondered why. Was there something about the opening number that warranted it to be pre-recorded? After doing a quick search online I found out that one of the lead actors, Brennin Hunt, who plays Roger broke his foot the night before at the final dress rehearsal! It would later be…
