Illusion Crop Top Look

Okay, so I don’t know what the technical name for this top is called therefore I just made up the title of this post. I don’t remember if I’ve mentioned it on this blog before but I don’t wear crop tops for 2 main reasons. 1) I have a short torso so I feel like a crop top will not be a good look for me. 2) I feel self-conscious about showing off my stomach. Yes, I freely walk around the pool and beach in a bikini so I don’t really know what the problem is but maybe it just feels different when it’s clothing as opposed to a bathing suit because the thought is that clothes cover more of your body? I don’t know! I can’t explain it. Basically, I feel fine in a bikini, but when it comes to crop tops I get a bit shy haha. I have seen a lot of people rock crop top outfits and they look awesome, but I haven’t brought myself to wear them just yet.

This brings me to this top. It is a layered top and the bottom layer is see through. The top, striped layer ends above my belly button and then the flowy, sheer material continues and is hi-lo. It’s hard to see in the pictures, but it is sheer. That’s about as close to a crop top I’ve come so far. I paired it with skinny jeans and wedges for a dinner night out with girlfriends.
