Red Lace Yoke Peplum

Happy Chinese New Year! It’s customary to wear red for Chinese New Year to symbolize happiness and prosperity. While out with my family this weekend, I wore this red peplum top. I love peplum tops, but what makes this one even better is that it incorporates a lace yoke. I love that this isn’t a in-your-face type red but more of a dark pink/dusky red color. I also really like the look of the vertical lace strips down the front which borders the darker and lighter monochromatic colors.

I decided to pair the top with leggings, cream knee socks which have gold thread running through, and black slouchy boots. The look was so feminine but comfortable – you know I’m all for the comfort!
