Braid Sweater
Happy Pi Day! I hope you all get to have some pie today to celebrate 3.14!
So last week I talked about changing up sweater looks by choosing a honeycomb stitch over my favorite cable knit. Well, I’m back to the cable knit, however, this braid sweater isn’t your normal cable knit. This sweater has two braids that are open knit and what makes it even more unique is that the knit does not stick out like most cable knit sweaters, but is instead set in.
Sweater: GAP | Pants: Uniqlo | Necklace: Pac Sun | Watch: Caravelle New York via Macy’s | Shoes: Sofft via DSW (here)
As you can hopefully see in the photos above, the cable knit braid is set in the sweater and is not raised which is different than the norm. I also love that the open knit design is solely at the two braids making the look more polished. I paired the off-white sweater with burgundy stretch cords, brown mary jane style heels, a gold watch, and a necklace featuring triangles of different color golds varying from champagne to light yellow to rose gold. The shoes are fairly new and still available (linked above) and give me vintage vibes. They are also super comfortable!
Overall I’m really pleased with the way this whole look came together – from the braid sweater down to the accessories and even the light mint green tank peaking through the open knit.
