Paisley Drop Hem

Sunday, we meet again. It’s finally consistently spring-like weather which means I should be feeling refreshed but I’ve been finding myself in a funk lately. I find my personal style to be a good outlet for me to either express how I’m feeling or vice versa and let my style influence my mood. With that being said, the outfit I’m sharing today is a mix of trying to be somewhat bright with the floral drop hem of this top and wanting to be comfortable in my “meh” mood.

All of the pieces I’m wearing in this outfit come from Express. I love this purple and pink mixed media top with the floral drop hem. The floral piece is fun and has a hi-lo effect. The heather grey leggings are high-waisted and surprisingly comfortable. Leggings are normally pretty comfortable, but I wasn’t sure about these at first because they are high-waisted and I don’t always like the feeling of the waist digging into my stomach especially because I’ve got a short torso. I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable these are. My waffle stitch boyfriend sweater completed the look. Boyfriend sweaters are one of my staple pieces and all-time favorite pieces for casual wear. They are comfortable and stylish, and because they are oversized you can just wrap yourself up in a little fashionable cocoon.
