Striped Scuba Fit & Flare

As mentioned yesterday, I am away on vacation so I may be slow to respond on here, Instagram and Twitter, but don’t fret I have scheduled posts as well as upcoming travel posts that I’ll be writing as soon as I’m sure I have reliable wifi!

Today, I’m sharing the last work ootd I have left to share from this past school year. It’s a blue, green, and white striped scuba knit fit & flare dress with a light brown belt. I love the color combination and the look and feel of this dress.

As scuba knit is generally lycra and polyester there is a slight sheen to it and the combination of the sheen, extreme smoothness of the dress, and the stripes reminds me of wrapping paper! But in the best possible way. You know that wrapping paper that’s shiny  and thick – the good wrapping paper? That’s what it reminds me of and I’ve got no complaints! And I really love this color combo so if there were wrapping paper with these exact same colors I would definitely buy it.

I love that the belt they included is brown because it pairs nicely with the dress. I think black would have been too stark and plain. The brown is a nice pop. Since the belt was brown, I wore brown and cream flats. These flats are probably one of the most comfortable dress flats I’ve ever worn. They are a few years old too and still going strong!
