Yesterday was my first full day in The Cape (Cape Cod) and I’ll be writing all about it in tomorrow’s post, but it was a good day. I got a little sunburned, but what is most annoying about it is that it’s just on one shoulder and side of my neck. That’s going to make wearing the dress and off-the-shoulder top I have planned for later this week really interesting. I’m hoping it fades quickly and doesn’t turn into a weird tan either!
Today I’ve got a fun pencil skirt to share with you. It’s a navy blue skirt with diamante print and a drawstring waist. Yes, to stretchy waists! I paired it with a powder pink lace paneled top which I’ve shared on here before.
Top: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Skirt: LOFT | Watch: Fossil | Shoes: New York & Company
The top didn’t tuck in very well, but I made it work. The skirt is a very dark navy so it some lights it looks black. Honestly, I would’ve been fine with it being black instead, but the pink and navy go well together here. The glittery black flats from New York & Company are at least 4 years old but still look new!
Hope you’re all having a great day and if you missed my post earlier today on a 4th of July dessert idea, check it out! It’s a mixed berry slab pie! I’ll be back tomorrow with the first part of my Cape Cod vacation.
