Floral Babydoll Cami + Lace Bodysuit
When bodysuits became a thing a year or two ago, I liked some of the looks I saw but I didn’t see myself wearing one. They’re skin tight and I have a short torso so I didn’t think they’d look good on me unless I wanted to show off my love handles. But then I saw lace ones with strappy backs from Express and I thought they’d make good pieces for layering especially with all these open-back styles we see these days. I got a white and black one – perfect style staples!
This dark floral babydoll cami is a little too low cut for me and the fluttery, peplum-like style to this babydoll makes it a bit short in the front. Therefore, my black lace bodysuit was perfect to wear underneath!
Babydoll Cami: Express | Bodysuit: Express | Pants: Uniqlo
The floral on this babydoll cami is so pretty and that mustard yellow really stands out to me (in a good way). it’s a very fall shade, but obviously the fact that this is a tank top it makes it perfect for summer.I love the way it flares out. It’s so fun and flattering.Β I’m not sure how I would transition it into fall since it does flare out meaning wearing a cardigan over top may not look very good. Anyway, that’s for another day.
The strappy back of the lace bodysuit is perfect for a racerback style top because from the back you can’t even tell I’m wearing a bodysuit underneath! This outfit was extremely comfortable. I wore it to the movies when I saw Spider-Man: HomecomingΒ so I wanted something stylish yet comfortable to be sitting in for a movie. Best thing about this bodysuit? There are snaps at the bottom so you don’t need to take the whole thing off for the bathroom! I don’t know if all bodysuits have snaps? For some reason I was envisioning a leotard type bodysuit. Anyway, I really like this outfit and I’m enjoying using my bodysuits as layering pieces!
