Blue Abstract Maxi

I love maxi dresses, but I haven’t worn them as often as I’d have liked to this summer. But one of the ones I did get to wear was this one with a black bodice and blue abstract skirt.

I love how flowy this maxi dress is. I have a few that are more fitted which are nice too, but I think my favorite maxi dresses of mine are the ones with a flowy or fuller skirt. They’re more comfortable, fun, and figure forgiving!

The abstract print on the skirt here offers a little more for the eye than a plain blue skirt. I like the abstract blocks of color. This is also the kind of maxi dress where half the skirt is sheer. There’s a slip inside but it only goes to somewhere above the knee so if you look closely or if you’re in the right light you can see my legs.

Although I didn’t get to wear maxi dresses too often this summer, the good thing about them is they can be worn in the fall too with a cardigan!
