Watermelon Pop Eyelet Skirt
I don’t wear skirts very often, just because I find dresses to be so much easier to wear. But, I am trying to make more of an effort to wear them because they’re great for work. I wore this eyelet skirt to work a few weeks ago in this bright watermelon pop color. The eyelet design in this skirt features large circles which is different than how I normally see or picture eyelet.
I paired it with a plain white, sleeveless top and taupe cardigan. For shoes, I chose a light beige t-strap heel.

All the clothing pieces here are LOFT, my watch is Michael Kors, and shoes are from DSW.
I decided to keep my shoes, top, and sweater neutral because the skirt is so vibrant that I wanted it to be a standalone. The skirt is lined to a little above my knee and then it’s just the eyelet overlay from there down to below the knee.
I could’ve tucked my white sleeveless top in for a crisper look, but this skirt just fit when I wore it and that shirt was not going to go in! So I decided to just leave it out and go for a more loose, casual vibe. I could’ve knotted it up, but I thought of that afterwards. It’s good to remember for future reference though!
Overall, I really liked how this outfit came together and the color of the skirt plus the eyelet design just makes me happy!
