Copper Metallic Pleated Skirt

I’m seriously reveling in the fact that it’s just Saturday now meaning I still have 2 days before I have to go back to work. This little break has been so nice to recharge. Hopefully the weekend won’t pass too quickly!

Today’s post features the outfit I wore on Thanksgiving two days ago – a pale pink lace trimmed blouse (not new to the blog) and a copper metallic pleated midi skirt. I am loving this entire outfit, especially this skirt – the star of the show. When I got this skirt a few months ago I immediately knew I wanted to wear it for Thanksgiving. The copper color just screams fall and the pleated midi design makes it dressier. The metallic sheen to it makes it perfect for holidays as well. Basically, it was the perfect skirt to wear for Thanksgiving.

When planning my outfit for the holiday, I didn’t know what blouse to wear with it. I thought about wearing a plain white top to let the skirt take center stage, but then I thought that a plain white shirt would be too casual. I thought about wearing a ruffle lace top but then I thought that would be too much. I didn’t want to wear a statement top with a statement skirt. I finally decided on this pale pink blouse that I’ve worn on the blog before – the pink and copper actually went really well together.

The blouse ended up being the perfect pairing. Like I mentioned above, the pale pink and the copper skirt went well together. Aside from the color combo, it was also a great top for the skirt because it’s so pretty but not overwhelming or taking away from the skirt. It’s definitely nicer than a plain white long sleeve tee, but it’s not a top that would overdo the outfit. To finish off the look I wore beige t-strap heels. That’s it!

The midi skirt is so beautiful and I love the way the metallic material catches the light and sparkles. I can’t wait to wear it again as it’ll be perfect as we continue on with the holiday season. Besides how gorgeous this skirt is, it’s also amazing because it has an elastic waist and was super comfortable to wear throughout Thanksgiving day. The skirt is currently (at the time I’m writing this) still available – only in XS though. I’ve linked it above!

And there you have it – my Thanksgiving look. I’m so happy with the outfit and even happier that I lasted all of Thanksgiving in this outfit without changing into comfier clothes. I love that elastic waist almost as much as I love the copper, metallic color and pleats!
