I went back and forth last night with whether to write this post, because I didn’t have much to say – but I decided to go through with it because I want to be honest and keep it real on here! I may rename this series Health & Fitness from BBG, but for now it will stay. So I don’t have much to say this month because I’ve been seriously slacking on the workouts. Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t completely abandoned my workouts, but I definitely haven’t been completing all the workouts within a week like I used to do so diligently. This isn’t because I don’t feel like it or anything, but it’s mostly been because of a lack of time. I’ve been so busy this summer with moving, lots of day trips, visiting family and friends etc.
Maybe summer is just a harder time to regularly work out? I definitely found it easier during the school year because I had a more set routine. I would come home from work, have a little downtime, and then change into workout clothes and get my BBG workout in or go for a walk or something. I think when I go back to work in a few weeks I’ll definitely find it easier to get back in to a routine – hopefully! I’m going to try to be really good this week about getting my whole week’s worth of workouts done. Then next Wednesday I leave for my international vacation for 2 weeks so I don’t think I’ll get to do my exercises. However, there is going to be a ton of walking the entire trip as both countries I’m going to are going to be city destinations. It’s also very hot and humid where I’m going so I think with the combination of walking and sweating to death I should be burning off everything I eat while away. Or at least a good amount!
In my next monthly update I will have just gotten back from vacation and back at work for a few days. I’ll let you know if I got any exercising in while away and if I remember maybe I can log how many steps I take each day while on vacation! That would actually be a really cool thing to do – as long as my phone still tracks steps when on airplane mode. Anyone know if that would work?
