Sparkle Dot Sweater

As you can see in these photos we got some snow yesterday. I don’t know why that one tree by my place still has leaves on it – it’s like the only tree with leaves. So weird! Anyway, hopefully today it’s not a mess outside with ice and whatnot. Now, I’d love a snow day when I actually have work!

Anyway, a few years ago I bought two sweaters that had tinsel stripe detailing and I still love them so much that I have not gotten rid of them even though I have like a gazillion sweaters. Tinsel detailing in clothing is just so fun and pretty!

I’m always on the lookout for sweaters with tinsel detailing since it’s not super common. So when I was doing an in-store pick-up at Kohl’s right before Christmas I was in a rush to get out of the store after being in line for forever and had to make a bee-line for this sweater that I saw with a sparkle dot tinsel detailing! The lines were long because of Christmas shopping so I decided to look and see if I could find it online. I did find it online and on sale so I grabbed it!

The sweater has a nice weight to it. It’s not too thick, but it’s not lightweight and too thin either. It’s a great winter sweater for a night out or if you just want to dress up a casual outfit a bit like I did here with leggings. The tinsel detailing can make the inside a little bit itchy, but it’s not too bad. I am sensitive to that though so I wore a 3/4 sleeve pink top underneath and I actually liked it a lot worn this way. The pink peeked through at the shoulders and at the hem which made it work better with the leggings and it helped the pinks in the sparkle dots and rest of the sweater pop a little more.
