fbf: The Vibes of Casa Portuguesa

I’ve been in a flashback Friday/throwback Thursday mood lately and I’m sharing another Portugal one today. Portugal is full of food specialities based on city and regions and delicacies. One of the things they are famous for are their cod cakes called “pastel de bacalhau”. One famous place that makes them is Casa Portuguesa do Pastel de Bacalhau. They have a few stores and we went to location in Vila Nova de Gaia and let me tell you – it was a vibe!

Imagine, walking in and there’s organ music playing – yes there’s actually an organ player playing on the second level with two curving staircases leading to the organ. Then the back wall is completed covered in old books. And there are these old fashioned looking booths selling their cod cakes!

The whole store is so eclectic and fun!
