Apple Picking

Saturday was a chilly, rainy day so naturally my friends and I went apple picking. Seriously though, we had picked this day out a few weeks ago because it’s a long weekend and Saturday was the only day we were all free. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate, but here are some pictures from the day. Follow me!

First, I got ready to go. All the basics of my makeup (i.e. foundation, concealer, mascara etc.) are the same as from earlier in the week except for this Bobbi Brown mini eye/cheek palette I got as a point perk from Sephora last year and the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter (Cotton Candy).

Then, I put my rainboots on. Even though the rain had pretty much stopped by the time we went in the afternoon, it was still really wet outside and pretty dark so no promises it wouldn’t rain again.

Next, it seemed like everyone in the world was out on the road so it took us about an hour to get to the orchards only to find out that the “pick your own” was closed due to the rain! So, we went to the next best thing – the orchard’s country store. There, we were bought apples and apple donuts. It was such a bummer that we couldn’t have fun picking the apples, but at least we got some apples actually from the orchard (expect an apple recipe post soon as I made something today!)

I went home and laid out my loot.

The apple donuts are amazingly delicious. They’re so soft and moist and covered in a dusting of cinnamon and sugar.

I settled in for the night, watching TV (a Hallmark movie – gets me every time) and Polyvore was having a 60 Second Style: Apple Picking challenge. What are the odds! Here’s what I came up with
