First Day of School: Teacher Edition OOTD

Yesterday was my first day back to work with the students. I knew it was going to be a scorcher out and although my building has air conditioning, my room has poor insulation so I knew my room would be really hot. I went with a lightweight, floral dress and even with that I was sweating by afternoon!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know I’m all about the floral prints so when I saw this dress I had to have it! It’s a bit sheer since it is such a lightweight material so I wore a camisole and a slip underneath it. I could probably get away with not having to layer because it’s not really that sheer, but since I was wearing it to work, better safe than sorry.

I definitely take advantage of the warm weather while I can and wear dresses and skirts to work. Before you know it, it’s too cold! I know you can wear dresses in the winter months, but I rarely wear dresses to work when it’s cold just because it’s so much easier to wear pants. Especially when I have to be out of the house so early on weekdays, the last thing I want is to deal with extra coldness. So expect to see a couple more dress and skirt looks before the weather really changes!
