First Day of School: Teacher Edition OOTD

Yesterday was my first day back to work with the students. I knew it was going to be a scorcher out and although my building has air conditioning, my room has poor insulation so I knew my room would be really hot. I went with a lightweight, floral dress and even with that I was sweating by afternoon!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know I’m all about the floral prints so when I saw this dress I had to have it! It’s a bit sheer since it is such a lightweight material so I wore a camisole and a slip underneath it. I could probably get away with not having to layer because it’s not really that sheer, but since I was wearing it to work, better safe than sorry.

Face: Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Perfecting Primer, Clinique Acne Solutions Foundation mixed w/ Wet n Wild Coverall Foundation, Benefit Erase Paste, BareMinerals Well Rested, BareMinerals Mineral Veil, Neutrogena Mineral Powder, Milani Blush (Love Potion), Milani Baked Bronzer, L’Oreal Magic Lumi Primer (highlight), BareMinerals Luminizer, MAC Fix+
Eyes: Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Too Faced Boudoir Eyes, Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara, Wet n Wild Brow Kit
Lips: ELF Matte Lip Color (Tea Rose)

I definitely take advantage of the warm weather while I can and wear dresses and skirts to work. Before you know it, it’s too cold! I know you can wear dresses in the winter months, but I rarely wear dresses to work when it’s cold just because it’s so much easier to wear pants. Especially when I have to be out of the house so early on weekdays, the last thing I want is to deal with extra coldness. So expect to see a couple more dress and skirt looks before the weather really changes!

Welcome to my blog! I'm a teacher during the day and lifestyle blogger by night. I love pop culture, entertainment/TV/movies/music, food, beauty, travel & fashion!
