Skater Skirt OOTD
Skater skirts are so trendy right now and this gem has been in my closet for maybe two years, but I hardly break it out. If you can find the right length (because there are super cute ones out there that also happen to be super short) they can totally be work appropriate. This one could probably be shorter if I brought it up higher on my waist – it could very possibly be meant to be worn like that since it has such a wide elastic band, but I just keep it lower towards my hips and then it hits just above the knee.
Sweater: Mossimo via Target
Sleeveless Top: JCrew Factory
Skirt: Stoosh via Macy’s
Shoes: Croft & Barrow Ballet Wedges via Kohls
Watch: Anne Klein
Nails: Mint Candy Apple – Essie
Face: Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Perfecting Primer, Clinique Acne Solutions Foundation mixed w/ Wet n Wild Coverall Foundation, Benefit Erase Paste, Smashbox High Definition Concealer, BareMinerals Well Rested, BareMinerals Mineral Veil, Neutrogena Mineral Powder, L’Oreal Magic Lumi Primer (highlight), BareMinerals Luminizer (not pictured), MAC Fix+
Eyes: Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer, Crown Brush Palette, Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara, Wet n Wild brow kit
Lips: Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick (Native)
The eye palette was a $10 (or possibly even less, I forget) find on HauteLook last year. Great array of shades, but not incredibly pigmented so you do have to work at it a little bit. Nothing too terrible.
I forgot to include my blush in the picture, but I took a picture of it with a closeup of my skirt.
The skirt has this fun detailing to it – almost like appliques made out of short threads. Bonus – the skirt has pockets! The blush is ELF Pressed Mineral Blush in Sweet Retreat.
P.S. There’s still time to enter my Autographed One Direction Makeup Collection giveaway!

Love your skirt! Love the unique detailing of the skirt, and given its taupe color, it’s pairable with bold-colored items in your closet! 🙂 – Lena

Thanks! In person it comes off more grey in color, but still an easy color to work with 🙂
